Ksenia did her PhD at the Institute for Complex Systems and Mathematical Biology at the University of Aberdeen in the field of Systems Biology. After that she moved to the University of Oldenburg, where she started working with ecology, modelling the interplay between fluid dynamics and biological processes in marine ecosystems. In recent years she moved to TER as a post-doc, where she has been working on self-organization of microbial consortia, microbial diversity, microbial interactions within these consortia and how those impact large scale processes such as organic matter turnover. Ksenia specializes in the use of complex systems theory and nonlinear dynamics to understand microbial systems.
Great to have you on board, Ksenia !
